  • The team will meet at WWHS daily to drive together to Alexandria

  • Friday, March 21st: a small advance crew will check-in, get through inspection with all other teams. This is drive team and a few others

  • Saturday, March 22nd & Sunday, March 23rd: competition days and open to the public.

  • The team will be meeting at 7:30 am both days at the WWHS Gym entrance.

  • These are all-day affairs. Plan for students to be involved and busy until at least 6:00 pm.

School Absence: There are no school absences associated with either tournament.  

Costs: There is no registration or admission cost to families for these events.  

Food: Lunch will be provided for the team on competition days.. There will be concessions at both events, so students can also utilize that for snacks – they will need to bring additional money if they plan to purchase from the concessions.

Dress:  Students should wear their team t-shirts every day of the tournament.  They may want to wear another t-shirt underneath to minimize laundry needs during the 2-day event! These events are casual. Comfortable (closed toe) shoes are required.  Please also make sure team members have their safety glasses. They need these in order to enter the pit areas at the events. Team t-shirts will be distributed prior to the first event.

Code of Conduct:  Every student on each trip is expected to represent the team and honor the WWHS Team 1389 and WWHS participation code of conduct. The code will be reviewed before the tournament trips; it includes a commitment to arrive at competition each day on time and ready to participate, stay at the event until the team departs, and observe FIRST and WWHS codes of conduct.

Friday (Day 0) -  
3:00 pm: Load out at Whitman (small crew)
3:30 pm: Small crew depart WWHS for load in 
9:00 pm: Pits close, advance crew leaves venue

Saturday (Day 1)
6:45 am: team meets at WWHS small parking lot next to new addition 
8:00 - 10:30 am:  Pits Open, Practice Rounds
10:30 - 11:00 am:  Opening Ceremonies
11:00 - 1:00 pm:  Qualification Matches
1:00 - 2:00 pm:  Lunch
2:00 - 7:00 pm:  Qualification Matches (most team members will leave by 7:15) 
8:00 pm:  Pits Close

Sunday (Day 2)
6:45 am: team meets at WWHS small parking lot next to new addition 
8:00 am:  Pits Open
9:00 - 9:30 am:  Opening Ceremonies
9:30 - 12:30 pm:  Qualification Matches
12:30 - 1:00 pm:  Alliance Selections
1:00 - 2:00 pm:  Lunch
2:00 - 5:00 pm:  Elimination Tournament
5:00 - 6:00 pm:  Awards Ceremony
7:00 pm:  Pits Close & team departs for WWHS
